The Gallery: Week 33
>> Friday, 22 October 2010
Let's lighten up the internet and give it a right giggle. Tickle its funnybone and all that.
This week's theme is: Show me the Funny.
You know those photos that just make you chuckle (love that word) for no reason? An expression, a moment, a picture of your other half in an Abba wig . . . *ahem*
Show me your funny photos.
You've got 2 weeks to think about it too as I'm having a week off for half term to run around with the kids screaming and play wrestling and play mums and naughty children who need to be spanked. Or something.
So the link will go up on Wednesday, November 3.
Also, there will, oh yes, be a prize too . . .
I asked the gorgeous and every so slightly mad Spudballo to judge (as she won a previous Gallery competition).
She took her role extremely seriously. Christened herself Judge Spud and everything.
And then she sent me an email with her winners and an explanation as to how she went about judging them after reading and commenting on all 90 entries. ALL 90 ENTRIES!
I think it deserves repeating here.
Over to you Judge Spud:
"I found it so hard. Everyone's story/photo was moving in some way, they were all precious moments. Many of them joyous, many very very painful. But all moments in time and it was a wonderful, if exhausting, process. What was so interesting was how many of the photos were 'just snaps', but it didn't detract from the post at all. It's such a wake up call to people like me who have forgotten the power of recording the 'everyday', and how much those shots will mean to our children in years to come."
And if that doesn't inspire you to snap on, then nothing will!
So, without further ado, onto the winners:
They are: Cassandra for her quite moving tale of Italy and Emma for her moving tale of family.
Well done ladies. Gorgeous entries.
Don't forget to come back on Wednesday, November 3 to add your link for this week's prompt.
And obviously, visit as many others as you can, say hi, discover new people, welcome them in when they discover you.
