The Photo Gallery: Shoes

The family that walks together, stays together. Or something like that.
During the school summer holidays we took up walking. Bought some walking boots and just set off; scaling stiles, striding through cornfields and basking in the glory that is the countryside around us.

It has been a blast. The children have discovered untapped reserves of stamina (I'm talking between 1 and 2-hour walks here) and have also taken up scrapbooking their adventures which they sit down and undertake with a dedication not seen in their school work!

They also discovered that their mother does not panic even when totally and utterly lost in the middle of a forest and the water bottle is dry. Oh no siree. It's all just one big adventure, after all. And we all had the right shoes on for the job . . .
